Meet Mia

Introduction

By nature I am quite a shy person and don’t find it easy to talk about myself. Having my photo taken can be a very frustrating experience for the photographer. Therefore I decided to just apply for a job as an encourager and comforter to others walking the road of chronic  illness , especially those suffering from Fibromyalgia/ Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

  1. Hi Mia, I am visiting your blog from Heart Filled Fridays! I noticed you have fibro – me too! I was just diagnosed last month. Have you heard of Dr St Amand in Marina Del Rey, California? He’s been the leading fibro doctor & researcher since before the disease even had a name! He is my doctor. I am following his Guaifenesin Protocol & about 10 of my calcium phosphate deposits went away in less than a month! You should order his book “What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Fibromyalgia” by Dr. R. Paul St. Amand. I think Amazon has it for about 5 bucks. Anyway, nobody should suffer needlessly, so I wanted to pass that along. Have a blessed day!

    1. Dear Heather
Thank you so much for this information. Yet, I am so sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with Fm. I will definitely order this book from Amazon for there is not much knowledge amongst the medical profession in South Africa about this illness.

  2. Just wanted to stop by and say I hope you had a very Merry Christmas, Mia. We had a sprinkling of snow Christmas Eve so it was lovely and white but the roads were fine. God a surprise gift when my son came in from Utah the week before Christmas! And then we surprised my mom on Christmas Eve, and her all in tears over her grandbaby! My love to you and best wishes for the New Year. xxoo

    1. Hi Sheila
Thank you so much for your good wishes. What a wonderful surprise to receive this message from you. I have been taking a blogging break for a week and a half, but missed you all. I hope you also have a great Jesus filled 2014 as well.

  3. I saw your comment on Michelle’s blog post this morning (Micey) and thought I would pop over here and see who you were 😉 You have a gentle, grace filled presence here on your blog! DM

  4. Dear Mia,
I just visited your blog today, and subscribed to it. It looks lovely and I want to spend some more time here reading and catching up when I am able. Thank you for the cross-link and I look forward to the possibility of getting to know you more!

  5. Mia, i beg to differ, my friend 🙂 Under achievements you say “not much” but: you have been married to your HS sweetheart 27 years, raised boys into men, live through illness, write wonderfully, encourage thousands and your comments often make me smile. DAD says…you are an overcomer and wonderful achiever. Much love to you…

  6. Hi Mia! Just wanted to stop by and thank you for reading and commenting on my blog. Every communication is truly precious and I appreciate your kind words. Have a blessed weekend!

  8. South Africa is a beautiful place, though I have never been there. Four of my children have been there and our pastor’s daughter is married and lives there. Her sister will soon return…so it is dear to my heart.

    1. Dear Judith
South Africans is a bunch of friendly. hospitable people. I am glad your children have good memories of our beautiful country.

  9. Interesting job title, Home Executive. That’s definitely better than the plain ol’ Housewife. I hope society would recognize that full time motherhood IS a big job and deserves credit even in the title. Once, I filled out a form and put “Home manager” in the occupation. I got a response of “What’s that?” Anyway, it’s nice visiting your blogsite. God bless you!

    1. Dear Sheila
I really don’t mind being just a housewife. What a glorious job it is to love your man and to raise your children. Thanks for visiting my blog.
      Mia

  10. Hi dear Phyllis
Thank you, dear one, it is wonderful to meet you to. I am so encouraged by your beautiful compliment! I hope that all I write is only under the anointing of the wonderful Holy Spirit of love and that it will always be for His glory and honor.

I’m so intrigued at how God has enlarged my borders in the most unexpected way … with bloggers, women sharing their faith from near and far … London and South Africa. My God is amazing. Mia, I admire your gift.
